Interlude

This video was an exploration of the present moment as an acceleration towards an unknown, and of the idea that any moment is simply a small piece within the fabric of the universe. I remixed footage from the 1982 film Koyaanisqatsi (http://vimeo.com/41224179) and a 2001 animation from NASA depicting temperature trends of the last 130 years (http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/2011-temps.html). In Final Cut I chose sections of the footage, applied different filters, adjusted the speed, and removed the sound. It is meant to be played on a loop.

(There is a low-quality version on youtube; Vimeo version coming soon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6LP22nsClw&feature=g-crec-u)
