a rainbow of vitamin waters, three empty water bottles, and numerous sugar packets

The bottles of Vitamin Water used in this sculpture reflect on the extravagant promotion of a product that is basically just a sugary water. Through gem-like hues and e.e cummings-esque poetics, Glaceau seeks to market this product artfully. As a twist on the idea of using artistic methods and aesthetics as a marketing tool, I chose to use these bottles to create a piece of sculpture as part of an art exhibition. This gallery-like setting plays on the idea of making an artfully marketed product into an actual work of art. This piece seeks to explore the hype that surrounds both the marketing and artistic worlds.
